About AIM
A CSUSB student organization affiliated with the Center for Cyber & AI, built on AI, InfoSec, and mentorship.
Our mission
AIM was established to provide CSUSB students with mentorship, guidance, and learning opportunities in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and information security. We help students understand and apply cybersecurity frameworks used in the field, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, NIST SP 800-53, and other relevant government, industry, and security frameworks, while developing technical skills and preparing for national cybersecurity competitions.
What we focus on
Artificial Intelligence
From foundational ML concepts to building and fine-tuning LLM-powered applications, our AI track pairs workshops with team projects members can put on a resume.
Information Security
Applied training in cybersecurity frameworks, ethical hacking labs, and competition preparation for events across the CAE Cyber Competition Atlas Map.
Mentorship
Mentee members are matched with Mentor members across technical, competition, framework, career, research, or general focus areas.
Frameworks & competitions
We build our curriculum and training around the standards and competitions professionals actually use.
